Hotel Description

Gran Hotel Bahía is considered one of the oldest buildings in Colon Island, in the Bocas del Toro archipelago. This building, which had housed the main offices in Bocas del Toro of the United Fruit Company, three consulates and the Tropical Radio & Telegraph Company was built in 1905 and is, since 1968, home to the Gran Bahía Hotel.
The hotel boasts 18 spacious and comfortable rooms equipped with convenient amenities including air conditioning, 20-inch cable TV, in-room safety deposit boxes, complimentary WI-Fi, and private bathrooms with hot water. Besides, the Deluxe Plus rooms in the upper floor are also equipped with a full sofa bed, mini-fridge and flat panel TV.
As the hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant, all hotel guests enjoy a special discount in the Bocas Barna Q Restaurant located next to the main entrance. The Bocas Barna Q Restaurant is a fusion of Mediterranean flavors and charcoal grill run by restaurant professionals trained in Barcelona, which offers imported meat cuts as well as seafood from the archipelago. The restaurant is also distinguished by its extensive list of wines, spirits, Caribbean and international cocktails and its relaxed ambience in the most exclusive terrace on Main Street of the island.
